Greetings, All!
Living on a boat full of fish does have it drawbacks - first being internet access to upload stories and photos to my blog. I have had to resort to writing postcards until I decide to get off the boat. (It will happen in good time, when I am darn well ready to leave and by my terms.) So for now you will have to decipher my cat scratch writings.
The other drawback is even the great smell of fish grows weary after 3 days. (Hey, just like relatives!... *snicker* Sorry... old joke.) It took me a while to get my sea legs. I also had to figure out which human I could trust. Sometimes it is hard to tell if a person wants to pet me or throw me into the deep. I play it safe and generally lay low.
Evenings are quiet. I can wonder around deck listening to the growl of the boat engine and the soft splash as the boat cuts through the waves. I feel the warm breeze and look up at the night sky. The heavens have been full of more stars than I could ever imagine.
Ta-ta for now!

Fresh Fish!
Whew! I was beat and I was very hungry. Sniff, sniff. I wondered what that smell could be. Ahhhh, the smell is getting stronger! Sweet, It's a fish. Hey, and look there are crates of them, too. Thousands of them. Wow! Now this is what I call heaven. As I walk up the ally on a very wet day, What I call humans, kept dodging in front of me. Those "humans" don't have manners. Hey look over there, a whole pile of fish. I trotted over to the huge pile of fish. Not knowing what trouble I was going into. I started to indulge myself in that heavenly tasting fish, I heard a weird sound I have never heard before, since I came from the city. Then below my paws, it felt like the ground was moving. It felt like there was a crack forming. The ground movement started to move faster, then faster. I slowly walked to the edge of what looked like a box without a top. I looked over the edge and let out and earsplitting cry. I was looking straight at the terrifying moving water. I quickly jumped as far back as possible. I looked towards the entrance from which I came. I could tell that there was no way out except to jump of the edge in what looked like freezing water. No cat is stupid to jump of the side into water. I started to walk around the fishy box like thing without a roof. I noticed that there was a dog in the front. He ignored me, I ignored him. I found a cozy spot in the corner that I could hide in a curled up. I fell asleep not knowing what lay ahead.

Of mice and cats
Yesterday started out with nasty thunderstorms. Even exotic field mice could not lure me out to get my paws wet. Snowball, Fluffy, Scrappy, Ben and I sat around playing cards. We passed the hours with our favorite game, Go Fish! A few of the wilder young ones wanted to play Old Maid. Those of us who had our tonsils removed many years ago just couldn't get into it.
Eventually the skies cleared and the day was wonderful. We spent several hours hunting and chasing. We only caught a few. I was disappointed. I discovered that field mice taste gamy and stringy. Who knew?
Then I spent the rest of the early evening laying out in the sun. I will be leaving here soon. I have had fun, but I have the rest of the world to explore! So onward...

Down on the farm
Good evening. I am on my way! I have stopped at a place sunny and warm. There is plenty of food, and seems to have many other felines living here as well. Though the cats here seem to be scrappy, ill mannered and quite frankly, appear to be inbred. I saw one cat in the wood pile behind the barn trying to score some catnip!
The strange animals in the picture are indifferent to me. I find that comforting, but I do have watch out. They also don't notice when they step on my tail.
I have found a nice dry corner with plenty of hay in the barn for my bed tonight. Tomorrow a few cats and I are going out to hunt field mice. How exotic! No prissy city mice here.
